The free classical music festival honours the legendary musician of Akbar's court.
The 102nd edition of the Tansen Samaroh, one of India's oldest classical music festivals, will be held in Gwalior from December 14 to 19.
The festival's main venue is the Tansen Samadhi Sthal, the memorial of the legendary musician Tansen, one of the nine jewels of Mughal emperor Akbar's court.
Leading vocalists and instrumentalists from across the country will perform classical ragas over six days. Entry is free.
The festival is organised by the Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet Evam Kala Akademi and Madhya Pradesh's culture department, with the support of the district administration, the Archaeological Survey of India and the state tourism board.
