Singhel, who has led the insurer since 2012, will step down at the end of March 2027.
Bajaj General Insurance has named Deepak Reddy as its next managing director and CEO, succeeding Tapan Singhel, who has led the company since 2012.
Reddy will join as CEO-designate on January 1, 2027, and take charge on April 1, 2027, subject to approval from the insurance regulator. Singhel will remain in his role until March 31, 2027, as he nears the regulatory 15-year limit.
Reddy has more than three decades of experience in financial services, including 17 years at Bajaj Finserv, and most recently served as CEO of Manappuram Finance.
Singhel joined the insurer in 2007 and is credited with expanding its distribution, digitising sales and launching products such as individual cyber and pet insurance.
